The American firm is for the first time in one hundred and fifty years led by a woman, Marci Eisenstein. She joined the firm in 1979 and has been on the executive committee for more than a decade and she has expertise in business law and insurance law. She concentrates her practice on the defense of class-action litigation in national and federal courts.
She is co-leader in the insurance and class actions departments of the firm and has advised in the trial of Avery v. State Farm in 2005 in which many American states were involved.
Marci Eisenstein leads the main office in Chicago as well as its seven sister offices located in Washington, Ann Arbor, Atlanta, Dallas, New York, San Francisco and Lake Forest.
