To mark the first anniversary of Jumia Travel and AccorHotels’ partnership, the first Hospitality Report Africa was published on April 25th by the two partners in Abidjan.

This report provides a comprehensive review of the African tourism and hotel sectors through Jumia Travel and AccorHotels’ international and internal data. Unesco and Ethiopian Airlines also lend their expertise on topics such as the inscription of African sites on the World Heritage List and the air transport industry in Africa.

With 58 million tourists in 2016, tourism has the potential to be the main contributor to the continent’s GDP, stimulating economic growth. The two partners share the same ambition of participating in the development of the African tourism sector, supporting the gradual emergence of a middle class and offering tailor-made solutions to African travelers. Through the common achievement of Hospitality Report Africa, Jumia Travel and AccorHotels intend to promote travel, trade, and tourism in Africa.
