Demarest Unveils New Partner

The firm makes the third announcement in approximately one month.

On June 14th, one of the most prestigious law firms in Brazil announced Andre Luiz Freire as a new partner. He will work in the infrastructure practice.

 

He graduated in law at Unicuritiba in 2003 and in 2007 achieved the title of master at Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo. In the same institution, he received the title of doctor in 2013. In the same year, he started to pursue his second master’s degree, at the University of Virginia, in the United States, a program he completed in 2014. He is currently studying to become a doctor of juridical sciences at the University of Virginia, andexpects to graduate this year.

 

Concerning his professional experience, he started his career as an attorney in 2003 and in 2009 he had the opportunity to work as a senior associate at Machado Meyer Advogados, where he stayed until joining Demarest. Additionally, he also works as a professor at Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo in its general law theory department.
