The firm has appointed Paolo Bertoni as partner in order to boost its IP, TMT and Information Technology practice.

Founded in 1948, Chiomenti is a key player in the Italian market, acting as legal advisor for many of the major M&A transactions which have taken place in the country. Historically focused on corporate work, with the lateral hire of Paolo Bertoni the firm seems to be repositioning itself, renewing its interest in Intellectual Property. Paolo Bertoni joins the firm with more than twenty years of experience in the IP/IT sector. He previously worked at the Milan’s branch of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, handling patent, trademark litigation and unfair competition cases, and before working as Counsel at Freshfields, Paolo Bertoni was a lawyer at Pavia e Ansaldo and Bonelli, Erede & Pappalardo.
